🎉 Celebrating Dev Accomplishments, Summer 2022

Hello everyone. It’s been a whirlwind year for Resonate so far, and so much has happened that it’s hard to keep track of. We have much to celebrate. :tada: :tada:

If you’re a dev looking to get involved, shoot any of the @maintainers a message, stop by the Weekly Dev Standup meeting, post about your interests in the Platform section of the forum, or pick an issue on the beam app to start on!

Here is a list, in no particular order, of just some of this work:

  • A public Product Backlog, so folks can see which dev work is being prioritized (and completed tasks/goals).

  • Weekly dev meetups each Wednesday

  • Setup of Mattermost, a chat space for real-time collaborations and work contributors to coordinate.

  • Open sourcing of previously closed repos on GitHub.

  • A new main website, props to @replygirl for the brilliant design work.

  • We’ve migrated off Wordpress (kudos go to @auggod who did the vast majority of heavy lifting for this!), and uploading is once again available.

  • A new tech documentation site, to create a central hub for all knowledge and info related to Resonate’s tech stack to help onboard new devs.

  • Start of the Maintainer Collective, a core group of devs responsible for our infrastructure, distributing technical knowledge and access from single to group.

  • The creation of the Beam desktop app by @psi (along with contributions from @boopboop and @piper), which includes features such as play-queue management!

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished, and would like to extend my gratitude to the devs, everyone working on Resonate, and the greater Resonate community at large.
